The CRCD maintains a close relationship with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) who provide similar assistance. The CRCD share an office, sometimes staff and work on many programs and projects together. This relationship is especially important because the USDA does not provide NRCS support to an area without a local RCD, except for the administration of federally mandated programs.
